The 1,800-acre San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park is an expansive wildlife sanctuary. It is home to more than 3,500 animals representing 429 species, including the largest crash of rhinos in any zoological facility, and one of the only California condor exhibits in the world. Naturalist habitats provide an opportunity to view animals lounging in natural settings, while unique construction at areas like Lion Camp allow you to come face-to-face with Africa’s biggest cat.

Journey into Africa tour - an exciting expedition in brightly colored tour vehicles. Upgrade your tour to the Savanna Safari for a more extensive journey (additional fee for both)

Conservation Carousel - choose your ride: giraffe, rhino, zebra, cheetah? (additional fee)

Balloon Safari - get a bird's-eye view of the entire Wild Animal Park on this unique airborne ride, modeled after the hot air balloon tours of the Serengeti (additional charge)

Photo Caravan Safari Tours - Safari trucks take you into the heart of large field exhibits, where you get an up-close-and-personal look at the free-roaming animals of Africa and Asia (additional charge)

Ride on the Wild Side - take a 2-hour safari to meet an animal up close, visit the back area of Lion Camp, and check out the cheetahs’ bedrooms (additional charge)
