Mingei International Museum is the nation's largest urban cultural park. Located in the heart of Balboa Park on the Plaza de Panama, the Museum has six spacious galleries featuring dynamic, changing exhibitions of folk art, craft and design. The Museum also houses a multi-media education center, a theater, visitor kiosks for collection overview, an Art Reference Library and The Collectors' Gallery, Mingei International's popular museum store.
Enjoy a self-paced tour of Mingei International's stunning exhibitions. Informative bilingual handouts on current exhibitions are available at the admissions desk and elsewhere at the museums. View an exhibition-related video, complimentary with admission, to enhance your visitor experience. Alternatively, you can participate in a guided tour by a trained volunteer. Docent tours are available, without prior scheduling, but the schedule is limited, so check Mingei's website for tour times.
